We were the prime consultant on this project in which we provided or oversaw the realignment of Fairmount Avenue between Federal Boulevard and Home Avenue, more specifically as follows:

  • Studies involved were HECII, Fluvial and comprehensive E.I.R.
  • Rights-of-Way - we provided legal descriptions and plats for right-of-way acquisition and vacation on over 30 different parcels.
  • Plans, special provisions, cost estimates and construction support on this FAU project with the City of San Diego.
  • Utilities - relocation of utilities including water, sewer, storm drainage, telephone, cable , and San Diego Gas & Electric.
  • Grading - This project had over 370,000 cubic yards of earthwork.
  • Traffic Signals - This project installed two new traffic signals and modification to two existing systems.
  • Retaining Walls and Noise Barrier Walls - This project consisted of over 1,700 feet of retaining walls ranging in height from 3 feet to 32 feet.
  • Bridge - A four lane, three span, cast in place concrete bridge, approximately 407 feet long.
